    Responsibilities:

    • Develop a database to store and maintain information about genomic variants in the context of oncology sequencing panels, in order to facilitate queries about panel capabilities.

    Challenges to be overcome during the project include:

    • Interconversion between a variety of variant representation types and formats (genomic coordinates to protein change and vice versa, VCF to bed)

    • Development of interfaces for batch data entry and rapid querying
