Lighthouse Lab Services is partnering with a respected small community hospital in Wooster, OH, to find a dedicated Pathologists' Assistant for a full-time day shift position. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to join a close-knit team and contribute to the hospital's commitment to high-quality patient care. The position offers a consistent schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, providing a great work-life balance in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Essential Functions:
-Dictates complete and accurate gross description.
-Performs frozen sections and maintains the cryostats
-Performs surgical specimen dissection on simple to complex specimens and provides quality material for routine histology studies and other specialized tests as required
-Disposes of tissues and reagents according to standard operating procedures
-Performs and documents quality control
-Performs routine and preventive maintenance processes according to standard operating procedures
Basic Preferred Profile:
- PA(ASCP)
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree
- Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Pathologists’ Assistant program
Salary and Benefits:
- 90k-125k based on experience and title
