What You’ll Do:
Oversee all QA/QC activities in the laboratory, ensuring compliance with CLIA regulations and industry standards for quality control.
Implement and maintain quality control processes, including proficiency testing, instrument calibration, and test validation, to ensure the highest standards in testing and results.
Supervise the accuracy, precision, and reliability of micronutrient testing, ensuring every result is trustworthy and precise.
Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date QA/QC records, documenting corrective actions, audits, and test results in full compliance with regulatory requirements.
Investigate potential issues in laboratory processes, identify root causes, and develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to ensure continued accuracy and efficiency.
Lead training sessions to ensure laboratory staff are up-to-date on quality control procedures, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with lab management, technicians, and other departments to ensure a seamless workflow and continuously improve testing processes.
Stay informed of industry trends and changes in CLIA regulations, ensuring the lab remains compliant and continues to improve.
What You Bring to the Table:
A Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Biology, or a related field (Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or equivalent is preferred).
At least 3 years of experience working in a clinical laboratory, ideally in a CLIA-certified environment. Experience in micronutrient testing or clinical biochemistry is a plus.
Strong understanding of CLIA regulations and laboratory QA/QC standards, with a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
Familiarity with LDTs, Cell Culture, and laboratory instrumentation used in micronutrient testing.
CLIA-related certifications (e.g., ASCP, AMT) are a plus.
Ability to work in a laboratory setting, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 25 lbs, and using laboratory equipment.
