    Summer Internship Program

    The program is a 12-week paid internship immersive experience that provides functional learning working on robust and challenging project work, Executive and Senior leadership engagement, and exposure to Danaher Business System fundamentals. The program culminates with a report-out presentation to leaders from the organization. After successful completion of the program, interns will have the opportunity to return as a full-time associate upon graduation.

    This position will be a part of the Immunoassay R&D Department located in Chaska, MN and will be fully on-site with hybrid flexibility. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

    You will be a part of the Immunoassay Research and Development team and report to the Manager of Development Science responsible for development of new immunoassays and reagents for fully-automated clinical diagnostic systems.     The R&D Summer Intern for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics will be responsible for participating in a team to perform general laboratory operations, supporting tasks such as material inventory and general laboratory maintenance. The R&D Summer Intern will work directly with a group of scientists doing a variety of tasks related to the development of fully-automated immunoassays on Beckman Coulter's instruments and will have the opportunity to learn real world applications of the R&D design process by completing assignments requiring independent thinking and basic analysis; in addition to documentation of studies performed.

    The essential requirements of the job include:

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biological Sciences or related discipline
    • 0-2+ years of laboratory experience (class experience acceptable)
    • Candidates should have basic knowledge of good laboratory practices and scientific methods
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

    It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

    • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Working knowledge of statistical methods and design of experiments

    The hourly range for this role is $30.00. This is the rate that we in good faith believe is the rate of compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
