Lighthouse Lab Services is working with an out of network laboratory, specializing in clinical toxicology testing, looking for a laboratory sales director to join their team. This laboratory is located in Los Angelos, CA and has been a trusted partner for healthcare providers, legal professionals, and other industries for over 10 years. As an out-of-network laboratory, they provide high-quality and reliable clinical toxicology testing services that help our clients make informed, timely decisions. This reference laboratory is committed to expanding our reach in the Los Angeles market, as well as southern California. We are looking for a person with a focus on nurturing and growing existing relationships while continuing to build new business opportunities.
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Sales Director with a well-established book of business in clinical toxicology to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for driving sales, expanding market share, and managing key client relationships within the Los Angeles area. Your experience and connections in the toxicology space will be key to building our laboratory’s presence and ensuring client satisfaction with our clinical testing services.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth for the laboratory’s clinical toxicology services. Lead efforts to increase market share and build a strong pipeline of opportunities.
Account Management: Utilize your established book of business to maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, including healthcare providers, medical professionals, legal entities, and other stakeholders in need of clinical toxicology testing.
New Business Development: Identify and secure new clients by prospecting within the Los Angeles area. Generate new business opportunities and expand the laboratory’s footprint by highlighting our out-of-network services.
Client Education & Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, educating them on the laboratory’s capabilities and the benefits of working with an out-of-network clinical toxicology provider. Ensure clients receive excellent service and support at all stages.
Market Intelligence: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitive offerings, and local market dynamics to develop effective sales strategies that position our laboratory as a leader in the clinical toxicology space.
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with laboratory operations, marketing, and leadership teams to ensure seamless delivery of testing services and client satisfaction.
Reporting & Forecasting: Provide regular updates and accurate sales forecasts to the executive team, outlining progress on sales goals, market trends, and client feedback.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Sales Director or in a senior sales role within clinical toxicology or clinical laboratory services, with a strong focus on out-of-network offerings.
Established book of business and deep relationships within the clinical toxicology space, particularly within the Los Angeles region.
Solid understanding of the clinical toxicology industry, including regulatory requirements, testing processes, and market trends.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with a history of successful sales performance and client management.
Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Ability to analyze and develop effective sales strategies based on market insights and customer needs.
Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, or a related field preferred; advanced degree a plus.
Ability to travel locally as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
