    Status : Full-time, Exempt

    Location : Split time between Chaska and Waconia, MN

    Reports to : Sr VP of HR

    Pay Range: $78,000 - $93,000

    JOB SUMMARY

    As a strategic partner, the Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) assists leadership in achieving alignment of our people and business objectives; advocates for overall organizational effectiveness; manages the talent acquisition and onboarding process; provides coaching and mentoring to employees and leadership; and, promotes our employee value proposition to enhance retention. The HRBP acts as a consultant to management on human resource related issues. This position is accountable to Senior Vice President of Human Resources.

    ** ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**

    1. Maintains and actively promotes effective communication with all individuals
    2. Maintains a positive image of the entity in the community keeping in alignment with our mission, vision, and values
    3. Responsible for on-call services, as assigned
    4. Consult and maintain productive relationships with leadership by: 1. Conduct regular meetings with respective department/plant leadership 2. Work with leadership and staff to implement effective transitions including the separation and exit interview process 3. Consult with management providing human resource guidance when appropriate 4. Provide performance management guidance to management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions) 5. Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention 6. Identify training needs for department/facility(ies) and individual leadership coaching
    5. Provide oversight of talent acquisition and organizational structure by: 1. Promote the Company’s employee value proposition internally and externally 2. Assist leadership in the identification of new roles, evaluation of talent, and sourcing new talent for key roles working with and through the HR Team 3. Provide guidance and input on organizational structure changes, workforce planning and succession planning
    6. Analyze, measure, and develop solutions by analyzing trends and metrics in partnership with the broader HR team and developing solutions, programs and applicable policies
    7. Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues by conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations and providing advice/recommendation to management
    8. Interpret and advise management on legal and internal employment law and policies by: 1. Maintain in depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees 2. Reduce legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance by partnering with internal and external legal counsel as needed/required 3. Provide human resources policy guidance and interpretation
    9. Model effective communication by serving as an effective communicator across the organization
    10. Ensure smooth transition from candidate offer acceptance to new employee orientation and onboarding working with the Illuminus Institute
    11. Manage unemployment claims including attendance at hearings as appropriate
    12. Manage workers compensation process for assigned facility/department and work with leadership to ensure safe practices/protocols
    13. Performs other duties, as assigned

Excellent verbal and written communications and human relation skills.

    ** EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING**

    • 4-6 years’ progressive human resource experience or equivalent.
    • Expereince/knowledge of Health Care systems and care delivery preferred.
    • Bachelor degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management, or related field required.
    • Advanced degree or HR certification(s) preferred
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Power Point, and Access; Paylocity or other HRIS
