JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX News Media seeks a self-motivated and detail-driven Financial Analyst within the Financial Planning and Analysis team. The FP&A team measures and analyzes performance across our business, contributing to decision-making at the highest levels of the organization. The Analyst will develop key experience and skills applicable to a wide range of business needs, positioning them well for a variety of impactful career opportunities.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Consolidate financial plans and produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports

• Create in-depth financial analysis to explain trends or variations from expectations and identify opportunities and risks

• Compile, analyze and summarize various weekly, monthly, quarterly and periodic operational results for use by senior business leaders

• Manage day-to-day financial requests and month-end close process and variance analysis

• Assemble, review, analyze, and report annual budgets and five-year plans

• Build financial models to assist with strategic business decision making

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting of expenses

• Book journal entries and perform variance analysis at month-end

• Provide financial analysis & guidance on day-to-day requests (ex: contracts, purchase orders, ad hoc projects)

• Perform some accounts payable duties such as review and reconcile invoices, code documents to general ledger accounts, process expense reports, and other duties

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Bachelor's Degree in a business-related area

• 1-3 years' relevant work experience

• Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint; Experience with Workday and Coupa a plus

• Superior attention to detail and accuracy; critical thinking ability

• A team player with the ability to work well with others while accomplishing tasks independently

• Intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn and grow in your career

• A team player who can also work independently

• New York base is preferred, but remote work may be permitted for exceptional candidates
