Mobile design is a fascinating and rapidly developing field, commonly not yet taught in schools. But at Intrepid, we know it’s a skill that can be taught. We’re seeking ambitious designers with a solid background in fundamentals, an abundance of natural talent, and the desire to learn a new field. We’ll happily teach you the mobile design fundamentals and jump start your career.

We are seeking full-time design apprentices for summer 2015 to work into a full time position on the team. During this 12-week program, apprentices will work alongside our team of 45, working on existing client projects. In addition, the apprentice class will participate in a capstone project, demonstrating the breadth of knowledge he or she has learned over the course of the program.

Requirements:

• Formal training in digital design;
• Inspired by mobile app design;
• Ability to execute is important;
• Seeking a career in UI/UX design;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Strong desire to continue learning;
• Thrive in a collaborative environment;
• Bachelor’s degree.

These are nice-to-haves, which ideal candidates would possess:

• Illustration skills;
• Presentation skills (defending work, presenting to clients);
• Mobile app design experience.
