    YOUR CAREER

    As a Selection & Assessment Intern, you will help PANW better understand what drives success in several business-critical roles, ensure interviewers and hiring managers are better enabled, and improve quality of hire and candidate experience by introducing thoughtful assessment and selection solutions. In addition, you will receive one-on-one mentorship, participate in fun and engaging events that inspire your intellectual curiosity, and establish connections with other recent grads and employees across the company (e.g., PhD-level I/O practitioners, Data Analysts, Recruiting leaders, People Business Partners).

    YOUR IMPACT

    • Conduct job analyses to determine the knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics (e.g., competencies) required to succeed in critical roles across PANW
    • Support the development and validation of custom assessment and selection solutions, with a particular focus on structured interviewing
    • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to design research studies and pilots focused on improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the hiring process (e.g., hiring committees)
    • Apply your knowledge of statistical concepts to evaluate the effectiveness of assessment and training-related initiatives
    • Assist with project management of selection and assessment-related initiatives (e.g., develop project plans, facilitate team meetings, assist with change management efforts)
    • Present to large audiences on selection and assessment-related initiatives and facilitate training to upskill the Talent Acquisition team, hiring managers, and interviewers

    QUALIFICATIONS

    YOUR EXPERIENCE

    • Currently pursuing a Ph.Din Industrial/Organizational Psychology or a related field (e.g., Organizational Behavior) -ABD status is preferred
    • A foundational understanding of job analysis, competency modeling, structured interviewing, assessment development, and validation
    • Experience with research design and hypothesis-driven data analyses to create actionable insights using working knowledge of statistical concepts and data analysis techniques
    • Experience managing and analyzing structured and unstructured data using tools such as Google Sheets, R, and SQL
    • Ability to think analytically and strategically
    • History of being a self-starter, resourceful, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
    • Willingness to work with cross-functional teams toward common goals
    • Ability to communicate technical results to technical and non-technical audiences

    The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer, the starting salary (includes on-target earnings = base + on target incentives for sales roles) is expected to be$25/hr for Colorado.
