    Creating new innovations and enhancing our existing brand portfolio – it’s all yours in Unilever R&D working in either a formulation or process engineering functional role. As a formulation or process development summer intern at Unilever you will learn how we develop and commercialize new personal care formulations in either the skin, cleansing, or hair team using the latest technologies, bringing new innovations to life for our consumers.

    Who You Are & What You’ll Do

    With guidance from a mentor and manager, summer interns will manage one major summer project on their own in either a formulation or process engineering role. Interns working in a formulation role are expected to assess the technical feasibility of potential formulations and identify formulation-related issues such as stability or safety considerations. They will create prototype formulations and maybe required to translate consumer and/or technical insights into compelling creative demos or investigate and resolve quality issues. Interns working in a process engineering role are expected to assess the technical feasibility of potential processes. The will develop new prototype processes and scale up new prototypes to pilot scale.

    What You’ll Need to Succeed

    • Undergraduate with sophomore or junior status based on Major in Chemical Engineering or other related majors.
    • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
    • Ability to conduct an experimental program to generate relevant, high-quality data with subsequent data analysis and interpretation.
    • Able to work under pressure in order to meet project deadlines
    • Ability to work with others, communicate effectively, and contribute to cross functional teams.
    • Willingness to relocate
