We are looking for a Staff Auditor who will grow at our corporate office, Marysville, OH.

The Staff Auditor is responsible for executing operational and compliance audits, as well as management's annual SOX compliance testing. The Staff Auditor will develop an understanding of key business processes, perform test procedures, recommend corrective actions, and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Candidates should have demonstrated initiative, critical thinking, time management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

In this role you will:

Sarbanes-Oxley (“SOX”) Testing and External Auditor Assistance

• Develop a strong understanding of the Company’s key business processes, the significant financial risks related to those business processes, and the SOX internal control framework in-place to mitigate those risks
• Develop strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• Perform testing of the Company’s SOX internal control framework, document test results, identify observations as applicable, and work with both internal and external stakeholders to design corrective actions that mitigate risk and ultimately add value
• Assist with the Company’s efforts to provide direct assistance to its external auditor in performing the annual financial statement audit

Operational Audit, Compliance Audit, and IT Audit projects

• Execute project test procedures in accordance with departmental standards
• Communicate project status and test results timely and effectively to project management and key stakeholders
• Work with project management and key stakeholders to design corrective actions that mitigate risk and/or improve business process efficiency/effectiveness to ultimately add value

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting or other business discipline

• Up to two (2) years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Audit, or other related field

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills

• Ability to form working relationship with both internal and external stakeholders

• Ability to consider diverse points of view

• Ability to think with a process improvement orientation and controls consciousness

• Ability to identify business risks

• Ability to work independently or as a member of a team in executing projects

• Willingness and ability to travel (domestic and international) as required. Travel is variable both in -frequency and duration and could amount to 30% or more

Some other nice to have’s:

• CPA, CIA, CISA or other professional designation

• Experience with general attest procedures preferred

• Experience with SOX compliance preferred

• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
