    Position Description

    You will serve as a AIRCRAFT LAUNCHING AND ARRESTING DEVICES (ALAD) MECHANIC in the DEPT OF NAVY NAVAL AIR WARFARE CENTER AIRCRAFT DIVISION RESEARCH & ENGINEERING GROUP of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.

    Position Duties/Responsibilities

    • You will set up and operate various stationary and portable power tools, as well as set up and operate high pressure air and hydraulic pumps used for functional and hydrostatic testing of ALRE components
    • You will use hand tools and measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, dial indicators, optical tooling, recording instruments, flow meters, pressure controllers, automatic timing and control devices
    • You will read and interpret incomplete and tentative blueprints, schematic drawings, detailed Federal and Navy and Commercial Engineering Codes and specifications.
