Position Description

You will serve as a GOVERNMENT FLIGHT REPRESENTATIVE in the T&E MANAGEMENT FOR PROGRAMS AND OPERATIONS DIVISION, GOVERNMENT FLIGHT REPRESENTATIVE BRANCH of NAVTESTWINGLANT NWCF.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for ensuring that contractor flight operations involving aircraft are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
• You will ensure contractual obligations and procedures are adhered to, and that contractor personnel meet the appropriate Navy, DOD, and Civil Aviation qualifications and standards.
• You will approve contractor’s procedures for local operations ensuring appropriate practices and processes are in place to support safe and effective flight and/or maintenance operations.
• You will approve flights and aircrew, ensuring the purpose of the flights are contained within the scope and that standards are being followed in the planning, qualification, and execution of the flights.
• You will conduct periodic surveys of contractor flight and ground operations to detect adverse trends and reestablish procedural compliance with agreed upon methods.
• You will conduct initial review of contracts to ensure that accepted Navy, DOD, and civil aviation standards are included and adequately addressed as appropriate in order to identify areas of risk within the proposed flight program managed.
