Position Description

You will serve as the Distinguished Engineer/Scientist, High-Performance Fuels and Composites at Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division China Lake.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for managing very high level and challenging research and development programs.
• You will be responsible for technically leading the teams who carry out the engineering and scientific work.
• You will create and maintain state-of-the-art research and development programs related to scientific, engineering, or other technology fields closely related to the mission of NAWC’s STRL.
• You will serve as a consultant, who furnishes highly advanced and/or unprecedented scientific and/or technical guidance and recommendations to top-level administrative and technical management officials.
• You will provide independent and authoritative technical advice on advanced complex state-of the-art technical issues, projects, or programs.
