Position Description

You will serve as a LEAD FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Technical Operations and Product Support Division, Business and Financial Operations Department, and Comptroller Group of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. The incumbent will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration. The duty location of this position is Patuxent River, MD.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will formulate budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities.
• You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization’s programs and administrative operations.
• You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets, internal controls, and provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization’s programs and activities.
• You will perform a variety of other fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties and responsibilities.
• You will communicate the organization’s strategic plan, mission, vision and values and incorporate these into the team’s goals.
• You will independently prepare reports to ensure projects are expending funding properly.
• You will evaluate changes in plans and propose new course of action to mitigate deviation from plan.
• You will resolve team conflict in a positive manner while maintaining or increasing team morale.
• You will distribute work based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and capabilities of employees to support customer financial requirements.
