Position Description

You will serve as the Principal Engineering Technical Manager and Director for the Software Engineering Department in the Mission Systems Group, Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD).

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will serve as a Principal Technical Manager for specialized projects and/or program management positions.
• You will perform as the Naval Aviation Technical Warrant Holder for Software and ensures technical authority is exercised for execution of the Standard Work Packages to achieve weapons quality and safety requirements.
• You will perform or assign the Software Technical Review Board (TRB) member for all major Systems Engineering Technical and Acquisition Milestone (MS) Reviews.
• You will lead the development and implementation of innovative technical engineering solutions for complex air warfare capabilities.
• You will provide technical development leadership with a focus on the integration of emerging technologies into new and existing designs.
