    1. Experience using a variety of methods and partnering to solve complex environmental compliance program matters in an industrial setting. 2. Ability to collaborate with industrial execution areas and support groups to maintain accountability to environmental regulations. 3. Expert knowledge and implementation of program management relative to 40 CFR and or ISO 14001, NEPA, Hazardous Material Control and Management, Hazardous Waste Management, Pollution Prevention, EPCRA, Safe Drinking Water, CERCLA, Oil and Hazardous Substances Spill Preparedness & Response, Storage Tanks, Solid Waste and Recycling; to name a few) are implemented and managed in compliance with applicable regulations. 4. Ability to partner internally within an organization as well as external with counterpart sites and organizations to improve environmental compliance program(s). 5. Ability to manage a variety of environmental program projects, prioritize, and assign work for completion. 6. Understanding opportunities for development and growth of others to advise, train, instruct, or provide assignments to improve environmental compliance.

    Position Duties/Responsibilities

    The incumbent serves as the Environmental Division Manager located at Fleet Readiness Center. The incumbent is tasked to provide effective supervision, leadership, mentoring and management of division personnel whose backgrounds, skills and experience are based in environmental compliance as related to an industrial aerospace repair facility.

    The incumbent shall supervise, lead, guide, monitor, oversee, provide and mentor the people, skills, knowledge, training processes, facilities and equipment required to support Integrated Program Teams (IPTs), Externally Directed Teams (EDTs), Enterprise Teams (ETs) and other customers in the delivery of environmental compliance support by providing necessary policies, processes, tools, information systems and program/business assessments. Managerial duties include facilitation of adequate training, facilities, equipment and provision of leadership to enable program personnel to competently and successfully perform their assigned functions and tasks. It is therefore essential the incumbent have a thorough understanding and appreciation of employee individual and specialized needs to most effectively facilitate personnel training and development. The incumbent actively engages in the identification and development of rules and legal requirements which may impact restrict or redirect plant production activities. The incumbent provides specially trained and skilled personnel for assignment to Integrated Program Teams (IPTs), Product Support Teams (PSTs), and Externally Directed Teams (EDTs) to ensure production activities are supported and meet local site-specific environmental requirements.

    The incumbent will ensure the FRC is in compliance with all applicable Federal, State, local, Navy and DOD environmental laws, regulations and policies. Specifically, the incumbent will provide the resources, skilled personnel, expertise, certifications and administration to accomplish environmental compliance. The incumbent will also negotiate environmental compliance issues with Federal, State, and local regulatory agencies.
