Position Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER in the Chief Technology and Strategic Operations Office of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will lead his/her organization in realizing both the local Division (i.e., Aircraft or Weapons Division) and the NAVAIR Strategic Plan.
• You will plan work and prepares performance plans covering work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
• You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
• You will evaluate work performance of subordinates and recommends official performance ratings.
• You will give advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
• You will interview candidates for positions in the unit; recommends appointment, promotion, or reassignment to such positions.
• You will hear and resolve complaints from employees, referring group grievances and more serious unresolved complaints to a higher level supervisor or manager.
