Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) is seeking an entry level Systems Engineer to join our team in support of the Air Operations Center Weapon System (AOC WS) Long-Term Modification and Sustainment (LTM&S) program. The AOC WS is used by the Joint Forces Air Component Commander (JFACC) to prosecute integrated air tasking’s for a given theater of operations in support of the combatant commander’s mission. Of the over 20 AOCs across the globe, the integration of the weapon system is conducted in Hampton, Virginia, at the US Air Force customer site. This position is in Hampton, Va.
This position entry level Systems Engineer will be under the tutelage of the well-seasoned program engineer to follow a program of exposure to system engineering concepts, procedures, and direct support to the AOC Production Center (PC). Expected travel is up to 10%.
Job Description:
This position is for an entry level Systems Engineer with the technical and communication skills needed to support ongoing and emerging programs. The candidate will support requirement analysis and hierarchical decomposition, development of system architecture and assist in the planning and coordination of system delivery to customer/user site.
Responsibilities:
Duties include correction and update of documents, contribute to presentations, support design reviews, support customer requests for information and recommend appropriate configuration, equipment and software changes to satisfy requests and system integration and test support. Candidates must be professional, self-starter and possess a positive attitude. Willingness to learn program/organizational processes and procedures be willing to recommend improvements to both.
