The Mathematics and Statistics Departments serves more than 9,800 students each academic year and has over 600 majors. The Administrative Coordinator is the first point of contact for all scheduling logistics in The Department of Mathematics & Statistics. They monitor schedules for undergraduate and graduate programs and provide administrative support for these programs. This role is responsible for hiring graders and organizing course evaluations each semester as well as reviewing final exam schedules. They are an active member of the team who will work directly with the department, the chair, and the department manager to ensure all aspects of our academic schedule are accurate.

    Job Functions

    • Academic Scheduling (both academic semesters and summer term) Course Support (including graders and final exam schedules)
    • Assistance with Faculty Actions
    • Event Management for yearly colloquiums and departmental events
    • Special Projects as Assigned

    Required Skills

    • High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
    • 1-3 years of experience
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to multitask and work independently
