  • Responsibilities

    We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Triage Telephone Screener and Referral Provider to join our team at the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CARD). This role is essential in guiding potential patients through their initial contact with CARD, providing diagnostic evaluation referrals, and ensuring a seamless intake process. This position also offers the opportunity to assist in various administrative and special projects that support CARD's mission.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Triage and Patient Referrals: Serve as the primary telephone screener, assessing potential patients and providing referrals for diagnostic evaluations and treatment options.
    • Patient Scheduling: Manage appointment schedules and maintain accurate records to facilitate smooth patient flow.
    • Reception Support: Provide occasional support at the reception desk, assisting with inquiries and front-desk tasks.
    • Patient Outreach and Recruitment: Actively engage in outreach efforts to recruit patients and maintain strong communication with potential clients.
    • Data Management and Tracking: Organize and maintain data related to patient intake, referrals, and ongoing follow-ups.
    • Special Projects: Participate in various projects, such as conducting journal searches, retrieving articles, supporting grant-related submissions, and coordinating campus deliveries and pick-ups.

    Required Skills

    • B.A./B.S. in Psychology or Social Work, and less than twelve months experience.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interactions.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly with data management and scheduling.
    • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
    • Familiarity with medical or mental health settings and terminology is a plus.
