    Job Description: The Student Housing and Residence Life Administrative Assistant supports the operations and staff of the Office of Student Housing and Residence Life. Additionally, the Administrative Assistant works to support all students to ensure their success while living on campus and attending Cameron University. The Administrative Assistant reports directly to the Director of Student Housing and Residence Life and supports the other staff members in the office.

    Job Duties of the Administrative Assistant include but are not limited to:

    • Professionally and efficiently execute Cameron University’s commitment to student success
    • Establishes and maintains effective work relations with students, faculty, staff, and the general public
    • Greets and screens visitors, phone calls and email: relays messages, responds or takes necessary action or referrals for resolution
    • Advises campus stakeholders of processes, procedures, and services offered
    • Responsible for efficient functioning of front office
    • Provides administrative support for department to include data entry/management
    • Assists with development, implementation, and compliance of department policies and procedures
    • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the department budget
    • Prepares requisitions and purchase orders, and credit card documentation
    • Processes all departmental and resident mail
    • Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment
    • Manages care package program for residents
    • Maintains and reports tracking files
    • Supervises part time student office assistants
    • Supervises review of Student Housing and Residence Life cameras
    • Assists with internal calendars and schedules
    • Other duties as assigned

    Supervision: Reports to the Director of Student Housing and Residence Life

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. High school degree or equivalent
    2. Detail oriented and organized
    3. Friendly, welcoming, positive, and team player
    4. Excellent customer service skills, judgement, and integrity
    5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    6. Ability to prioritize, coordinate, and complete multiple, complex tasks
    7. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
    8. Demonstrated ability to work with online software/applications
    9. Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Proven writing and proofreading skills
    2. Advanced use of Microsoft Office
    3. Experience working at an institution of Higher Education
    4. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in any field
    5. Two to four years experience with administrative and/or project management programs/work

    SALARY:

    $24,500.00

  • Qualifications
    • Strong understanding of mechanical, plumbing and electrical work
    • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, and methods), craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations, engineering, cost control schedules, and safety
    • Knowledge of civil/site, architectural/finish work
    • Excellent communication, organization, interpersonal, and supervisory skills
    • Ability to read, understand and interpret plans and specifications
    • Thorough working knowledge of OSHA and safety, security, and environmental rules and regulations
    • Experience working with Primavera, Prolog, and Viewpoint
    • Excellent with problem-solving and planning
