  • Responsibilities

    Shenandoah University’s School of Nursing is accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant-Loudoun Campus. This is a full-time benefited position located in Leesburg, VA.

    The administrative assistant for the School of Nursing at the Loudoun site provides support to the Faculty, Students, and Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs.

    • Supports the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs and faculty at the Loudoun Site
    • Communicates professionally with faculty, staff, and all members of the University Community
    • Updates and approves student information in EXXAT
    • Monitors student validation of requirements for in EXXAT Prism and communicates any noncompliance issues with the clinical coordinator and Associate Dean
    • Runs reports in EXXAT as needed and requested
    • Communicates with OneSource regarding completion of background checks, in collaboration with the Clinical Placement Coordinator
    • Uploads all undergraduate student background checks and urine drug screens to EXXAT
    • Proctors students with testing accommodations
    • Orders office and lab supplies as needed
    • Collaborates with building manager to schedule rooms for classes, exams, and meetings
    • Supports faculty in planning orientation and other activities as needed (ex. Blessing of the Hands, Alumni Panel, etc.)
    • Collaborates with the Loudoun Campus Success Coordinator to support students using Tutor Track
    • Works with the work-study students to facilitate their onboarding process and timecard approval
    • Creates Payroll Authorization Forms for adjunct faculty in collaboration with the Associate Dean and Clinical Coordinator
    • Distributes new student welcome letters and checklists
    • Develops the clinical campus learning laboratory rosters each semester in collaboration with the Campus Learning Lab Coordinator, Clinical Placement Coordinator and Associate Dean
    • Supports the SON by providing committee meeting administrative assistance as directed

    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team
    • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrate work that reflects the mission, vision, and philosophy of the University and SON
    • Demonstrate work that reflects mature, professional, goal-oriented actions with flexibility.
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Experience with Gmail, Google, Canvas Organizations, Spreadsheets preferred
