Xavier University, a Catholic University in the Jesuit tradition, invites applications for a 9-month tenure track assistant/associate professor position beginning in fall 2025. The Sport Management, Sport Marketing, and Sport Administration programs are located in the Department of Sport Science & Management, in the College of Professional Sciences (www.xavier.edu/sport_studies). The Department of Sport Science & Management offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Sport Management, Sport Marketing, and Exercise Science. Master of Science degrees in Sport Administration and Athletic Training. To be considered for the associate professor rank, candidates should have a minimum of five years teaching experience at an accredited college or university and clearly defined record of scholarship and publication.
Qualifications
Earned doctorate in sport management or related field. Preference will be given to candidates with sport industry experience, as well as a demonstrated potential to meet research expectations, or ABD with substantial dissertation progress in sport management or a related field. Content areas may include Sport Marketing, Sport Economics/Finance, Sport Law, Sport Ethics, Research and Statistics, Professional Development, and Facility and Event Management.
