    Adjunct Instructor, Department of Business

    This posting is to create a pool of interested applicants from which the department may draw as sections become open at any point during the academic year. This posting may or may not result in hiring, dependent on our current needs, but we will keep applications on file. We are seeking adjunct Business, Management, Marketing, Finance, Economics, and Organizational Leadership instructors for Cameron University in Duncan and/or Lawton.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Adjuncts holding this position may teach a maximum of 9 credit hours a semester. Other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    For courses in baccalaureate programs, a Master’s Degree in the field of instruction is required. 18 hours of academic work in the specific field, and significant experience in the field can establish eligibility.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Master’s Degree in the appropriate business field and significant teaching experience.

    SALARY:

    Commensurate with experience and qualifications.

  • Qualifications

    Minimum:

    • 3-5 years’ experience in providing legal support for health care related matters in a law firm or corporate environment.
    • J.D. and current admission to the Bar of at least one U.S. state/jurisdiction, remaining in good standing.
    • Experience with independent drafting, redlining, reviewing, and analyzing contracts including but not limited to, pharmaceutical rebate agreements, commercial, sales, and transactions.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to influence and build relationships/earn credibility quickly across broad global constituencies with competing priorities.
    • Demonstrated ability to own projects and consistently meeting timing and high-quality standards.
    • Ability to identify and define problems, collect relevant information, research, and analyze information and data to advise on risk and potential issues in highly complex and/or ambiguous situations. Solutions should present suitable options to the business balancing risk and reward.
    • Familiar with diverse, complex legal problems and adept at devising reasonable and creative solutions. Such ability must contain an aptitude for independent problem-solving with a proactive, can-do approach and strong commercial acumen.
    • Must have the ability to manage and resolve conflict effectively to move projects forward through final execution while delivering superior customer service to both internal stakeholders, affiliates, and external customers.
    • Excellent critical thinking, organizational, technical and analytical skills required.
    • Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at various levels within the organization including, business stakeholder management, staff, and contractors.
    • A self-starter with the ability to work independently in high pressure situation and own projects, take initiative, and prioritize projects to meet timing and high-quality standards.
    • Proactively identify unmet needs and future legal issues and propose potential solutions to optimize outcomes and results for company.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and proprietary information with discretion and confidentiality.

    Preferred:

    • Skills and ability to motivate and work with others to achieve desired results.
    • Prior experience and/or familiarity with medical device and pharmaceutical industries.
    • Must be able to clearly identify legal advice and business advice to internal stakeholder.
    • Knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to global pharmaceutical and medical device companies, including commercial law, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, US fraud and abuse and false claims laws, FDA regulatory law, privacy laws (GDPR and HIPAA), advertising and marketing laws, IFPMA, EFPIA and codes and regulations on interactions with healthcare professionals.
    • Experience with review and analysis of medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry related marketing material.
    • Knowledge and experience in rebate agreements, supply chain and operations.

    Other:

    • Mental demands - work is meticulous, often with multiple priorities. The environment is deadline sensitive, and individual may be exposed to high-pressure situations.

    Estimated Starting Salary Range: $159,000 - $173,000

    *Estimated Starting Salary Range is reflective of the range Bracco Medical Technologies reasonably expects to pay for the position. The range provided is based on salary and market data specific to the position.
