We are seeking dynamic, full-time Associate Teachers who are passionate about public education and are drawn to the intensity of our high-performing environment.
Starting their first day, Associate Teachers receive extensive training and professional development. This training continues and is applied as each Associate Teacher begins teaching in a Success Academy school where they work in a classroom alongside a dedicated Lead Teacher to build their skills and expertise. Along with the guidance of school leadership, the Associate Teacher experience is the training ground for becoming an exceptional Lead Teacher, and promotion occurs based on individual performance.
To be considered as an Associate Teacher, you must:
Hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Be passionate about reforming public education in New York City.

Demonstrate leadership potential.
Have the desire to work with children in an urban setting.
Our ideal candidate will have:
Previous internship and/or volunteer experience working with children.
A proven record of rigorous study and preparation to do the intellectual work needed to execute teaching at a high level.
The ability to accept and implement feedback received on an ongoing basis for continuous improvement.
The stamina to handle the requirements of an extended school day in a very high-performing school environment.
A sense of urgency while remaining detail oriented – thinking critically about the details of a task at hand and planning in order to meet project timelines to drive real-time progress.
The flexibility to adjust priorities with changing tasks and schedules as needed.
Enthusiastic, engaging, highly organized, collaborative, with a sense of humor!
