    Job Announcement: Associate Vice President of Finance and Operations

    Position: Associate Vice President of Finance and Operations

    Position Overview:

    The Associate Vice President of Finance and Operations will play a pivotal role in assisting the oversight of the financial health and operational efficiency of Pratt Community College. This individual will be responsible for developing financial strategies, ensuring effective budget management, and optimizing operational processes to support our strategic goals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for grant reporting and accounting including KBOR, Federal and others as appropriate.
    • Assists in the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
    • Assists in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
    • Oversee operational and maintenance functions of the physical plant and identifying opportunities for improvement and cost savings. This includes the planning, design and construction decisions, and the security for these physical facilities.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to align financial and operational strategies with organizational objectives.
    • Assists in managing relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and regulatory agencies.
    • Supervises Director of Facilities Management and Security Staff.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
    • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
    • CPA Certification preferred.
    • Financial or administrative management experience required. Experience working with federal and state authorities in payroll, employment laws and procedures preferred.
    • Experience in accounting/finance/facilities/security in higher education preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, budgeting, and financial analysis.
    • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a strong focus on collaboration.
