MAJOR FUNCTION: The Dental Clinic Office Coordinator is housed within the Healthcare Professions Division and reports directly to the Dean. TCC’s Exposure Control Plan (ECP) governs the College’s compliance with OSHA standards and is applicable to all employees who have occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens. The College has identified this position as having occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens. At-risk employees, where occupational exposure is reasonably anticipated, will be offered the HBV vaccination at no cost.
The primary duties of the Coordinator will include, but are not limited to:
MINIMUM TRAINING/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma and five years of relevant work experience. The desired applicant will possess dental and/or medical office experience or other administrative office experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of dental clinic policies and procedures. Knowledge of dental programs clinical requirements. Knowledge of dental curricula. Knowledge of administrative principles and practices. Knowledge of dental health programs. Knowledge of TCC Policies and Procedures. Knowledge of computer technology and software (Workday, Eaglesoft, Word, Excel PowerPoint). Effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstration of effective interpersonal communication skills. Ability to plan, organize and coordinate lab and clinical assignments. Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks, which are complex and broad in nature. Assist the Dental Health programs faculty as requested. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external partners. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others. Ability to make independent judgments. Ability to make decisions within the scope of this Position Description. Ability to work with others with varying technical expertise. Maintain confidentiality of student, faculty, and patient information. Ability and willingness to learn the use of new equipment. Ability and willingness to adapt to changes and be flexible with the implementation of new procedures. Represent the division and the college in a professional manner.

Required Skills Required Experience
This position will be responsible for operating a track hoe to excavate trenches, pull trench boxes, backfill, and load materials in a variety of heavy construction operations. When not operating track hoe, may also operate other construction equipment and perform general labor tasks as required.
