Responsible for the development, testing and implementation of new and existing software programs. Collaborates with internal users to determine needs, data sources, format venues and system capabilities. Work with the Software Development Team to ensure credit union systems and software applications are adequately supported. Performs a variety of reporting tasks. Assists other Information Technology staff as needed. Responsible for utilizing best practices and approved department procedures for software development, implementation and on-going support. Provides level III technical service desk support to all users as needed related to software developed in-house. Collaborates with external 3rd party vendors and external developers to develop, maintain, and integrate applications to meet business requirements. Complies with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile Scrum best practices. Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and sense of accountability to ensure code is developed with quality in mind, code is version controlled and best practices followed. Responsible for system and application integrations related to software development. Possess a good understanding of how it all fits together and is driven to meet and exceed member experience.

Required Experience

.. Six (6) years of experience in software development to include the following:

• .. Four (4) years of software design, debugging, documentation, testing and implementation.
• .. Three (3) years of utilizing Agile / Scrum development methodologies, i.e. user stories, Kanban boards.
• .. Three (3) years of a programming languages, such as Java, JavaScript, CSS or ASP.net.
• .. One (1) year of experience with C, C+, HTML, PHP or other programming languages.

.. Experience in PowerOn and SymXchange is a plus; must be willing to learn the technologies used by Symitar Episys, a Jack Henry product. .. Professional program certification in Java is strongly preferred .. Related certifications a plus.

PLUS

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
