  • Responsibilities

    The HR Business Analyst position monitors and maintains the integrity of SAP Organizational Management (OM) and Personnel Administration (PA) modules by performing data corrections and assists in identifying and analyzing options and recommends business process enhancements based on system functionality. Provides support to University planning, management, and human resources processes by collecting, analyzing and presenting report analytics and metrics to support strategic decision making initiatives in Human Resources. Performs tests to ensure all processes work according to the pre-determined goals identified; identifies, and develop specifications for reports that are needed by HR. Responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the HR website; performs security reviews of access to data in various university systems; participates in the administration of the BU Identity Management (BUID) process to ensure that staff and faculty Identification Numbers are issued correctly.

    Required Skills

    • 3-5 years of related experience and a Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent
    • Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a related field preferred
    • Specific SAP experience with various HCM modules including but not limited to PA, OM, MSS, ESS, and Payroll is highly desirable
    • Basic HRIS experience and knowledge required in enhancements, system improvements, and testing
    • Knowledge in HR principles and the ability to analyze and apply this knowledge as it pertains to the University and HRIS reporting
    • Experience in utilizing and creating databases and spreadsheets, knowledge of Excel and FileMaker Pro or similar preferred
    • Demonstrated knowledge of other reporting and analytical tools such as Query Manager and Business Warehouse reporting
    • Ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Excellent customer service and organizational skills
    • Self-starter with drive and ability to achieve planned objectives
    • Ability to effectively communicate with others, both in writing and verbally
