  • Responsibilities

    The position requires expertise on advanced mouse behavioral assays, including -Open Field test, Elevated Plus Maze, Social interaction task, Sucrose preference test Activity-based anorexia model as well as addiction related behaviors. The candidate must have experience in specific behavioral assays that are going to be established in this laboratory and have the ability to work on independent projects while also training new lab members. Furthermore, the candidate must have expertise in stereotaxic surgery, which will be used in the lab for gene delivery in the brain. Thus, the position involves tasks beyond colony management and genotyping, allowing independent projects as well as collaborations. In addition to behavioral assays, the candidate will be managing a colony of 12 mouse lines, being responsible for breeding and genotyping (this size colony also requires experienced and skilled individuals). The individual will have weekly meetings with lab members for updates on mouse colony and discussions on genotyping results. Finally, the candidate will be working with the PI on IACUC protocols and optimization and standardization of lab behavioral assays

    Required Skills

    Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience.
