    General Description:

    Administrative Coordinator in a busy outpatient physical therapy clinic. Responsible to cover the front desk, greeting patients, collecting co-payments and deductibles, scheduling and facilitating appointments (both in-person and via telehealth), answering phones, and communicating with insurance companies and doctors’ offices regarding coordination of benefits, referrals, and authorizations.

    Essential Functions:

    • Coordinate with insurance companies and doctors’ offices to obtain referrals and authorizations and check patient benefits
    • Greet patients, answer phones, schedule and facilitate appointments (in-person and telehealth), collect patient payments, and scanning projects.
    • Manage medical record inquiries.
    • Assist in supervision and training of student employees.
    • Other duties as assigned including claims and patient and insurance billing.

    Required Skills

    • Associate degree with one to three years of related experience

    Preferred

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 1-3 years of administrative experience
    • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
    • Able to work independently and accurately with high attention to detail
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a diverse community. Proven communication skills.
    • Ability to successfully meet deadlines and to handle with confidential information with discretion.
