RESEARCH PROJECT MANAGER, School of Dental Medicine, Dept. Health Policy/Health Svcs Research
The Center for Behavioral Science Research (CBSR) at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Project Manager with a solid background in psychology, public health or a closely related field. The candidate should also possess at least 3 years experience managing clinical trials with human subjects. The project manager will work on an NIH randomized clinical trial to motivate cessation using digital technology in a dental clinic. Duties include day-to-day management of the trial; plan, manage, and course correct study activities according to a protocol and timeline, study protocol development, IRB submission, hiring, training and supervision of staff, oversight of achievement of participant recruitment and retention goals, coordinating data management, liaisoning with technology and clinic partners, preparing of reports and monitoring expenditures. Applicants should possess at least a BA or BS degree in psychology or related social science field plus three or more years of research experience as a project manager with supervisory responsibilities. The candidate should have excellent communication and organizational skills, and a strong interest in the application of mobile technology to improve population health. Previous experience using mobile or electronic health for behavior change is preferred. The candidate will join a growing dynamic group of health psychologists and behavioral medicine experts, research staff and postdoctoral associates working on several ongoing projects, and will be afforded the opportunity for professional development. Required Skills
Three or more years experience performing in the role of project manager in research projects is required.
Demonstrated experience successfully utilizing project management practices, techniques and tools to manage and support the project life cycle.
Experience supervising staff and resources on a research project is required.
Strong analytical, management, interpersonal and communication skills is required.
Experience with basic budget is preferred
Demonstrated skill in facilitating development of positive culture, including teamwork and communication
Proven ability to facilitate teamwork and empower others
Excellent self-management and organizational skills, and ability to work as a team-player and team leader
Bachelor's degree required.
