    Security Network Specialist (Internal Applicants Only) POLICE/SECURITY SERVICES Paraprofessional/Auxiliary - Position - Security Job Number4900007706 Start Date Open Date04/13/2018 Closing Date Preferred: Associates degree in electronic or related field, three years experience in Computer and camera programming, and three years experience in Law Enforcement Environment ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following: Drives a District vehicle to and from work sites; obeys all traffic laws. Assists in the department of radio communications systems, voice and digital communications networks Maintains and trains users in database such as speed-Shift Scheduler, Advanced Police Software, Certification and Inventory Control Management and Training and crime analysis/CIS Systems. Assists with maintenance of the CCTV and Evidence Servers and in-car camera servers, including system backup file maintenance, software updates and installations, and server administration. Installs programs and maintains various components of in car-digital video systems and video arraignment system. Able to evaluate technology/product and proposals, participate in the resolution of info. Configures and installs user workstations for Police Department Users. Troubleshoots various problems with user workstations and software packages Takes appropriate action to resolve technology problems. Ability to meet project deadlines. Ability to manage data leakage prevention, web filtering, threat and vulnerability management and other security tools on a daily basis.. Working knowledge of Ethernet network and telephone wiring practices and wire, surge protectors and all necessary hardware to complete necessary installation and interfaces with LAN devices.
