This position is responsible for preparing governmental and private reports and billings and monitoring and approving expenditures on assigned accounts. Prepares various financial status reports and original journal entries for input into the financial record system. Maintains dialogue with principal investigators, administrative assistants and funding agencies and assists in preparation of information for the annual audit.

• Prepares monthly and quarterly government billings on assigned accounts. • Prepares federal financial status reports annually on assigned accounts. • Responsible for budget maintenance on assigned accounts. • Meets with principal investigators, assistant deans, administrative assistants and fiscal officers to discuss budgets and expenditures. • Prepares journal entries and original entries for input into the financial record system. • Informs principal investigators of changes in grants policies and procedures. • Processes purchase documents on a daily basis. • Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Experience

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of two (2) years work related experience is preferred. A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in grants administration will be accepted in lieu of degree.
