Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a minimum of a Master’s Degree and 18 hours in field. Candidates must be able to teach all levels of Mathematics through Pre-Calculus. Teaching experience is desirable. Working knowledge of computers and computer software, especially multimedia, is also desired

**Essential Functions/Duties:
**

• Teach courses in accordance with college and departmental policies and procedures, as well as Basic Course
  Information sheets.

• Prepare and submit timely grade reports and other reports on student performance as may be scheduled or required.

• Organize class activities and assignments, relating them to the overall learning outcomes of the course.

• Provide input and work with other faculty and staff to review, produce and/ or select course-related materials.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
**

• Extensive knowledge of the subject area(s) in which the individual is responsible for instruction.
• Knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of effective communication and of effective instruction.
• Knowledge and understanding of the characteristics and challenges of community college students.
• Knowledge and understanding of principles of curriculum development.
• Computer literate and able to navigate in a Windows environment.

Must have strong Inventor 3D Software background and CAD skills. Designing sheet metal parts is a Plus.

 Engineering and Technology — Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.

 Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

 Design — Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

 Me c han ic a l — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Computer and software, Accupress Press Breake and Trumpf Punch

 S tructural – Knowledge of steel support member load and base deflection factors relating to structural skid bases.

 C o mputers and Electronics — Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and programming such as Microsoft Office Business Suite; knowledge of accounting software such as AS400. Knowledge of Google Chrome, Sequal server data base, Inventor, SolidWorks or AutoCAD.

 Ve r ba **l & Written Communication **Skills – This position requires basic skills (ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.)
