  • Responsibilities

    The Data Analyst II oversees the conduct of bioinformatics programming and statistical analyses for studying mitochondrial genetic variation in different large-scale datasets. The analyst will be responsible for data management of projects. The position involves developing, executing, and validating software pipelines, performing statistical analyses with large-scale datasets, applying new tools for the visualization of genomics data, and working closely and collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members.

    • 50% Develop, execute, and validate software pipelines for identifying mitochondrial genetic variants and NUMTs
    • 40% Conduct statistical analyses evaluating the relations of mitochondrial genetic variants with cardiovascular disease risk factors and outcomes
    • 10% Data management- maintain next generation sequencing data, metadata and clinical phenotypes

    Required Skills

    Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of experience.
