  • Responsibilities

    The Dental Assistant provides clinical support by assisting the dentist in various dental procedures, exposing radiographs, taking impressions, fabricating and cementing temporary crowns, ensuring optimal patient comfort, sterilizing instruments, practicing infection control and OSHA standards in the operatory prior, during and after said procedures. Ensures assigned operatories are cleaned and disinfected.

    Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Collect patient data be reviewing medical history, taking blood pressure and pulse, and charting clinical findings as directed by the dentist
    • Contacts patients as needed and reviews schedules for optimal utilizations
    • Reviews and enters treatment plans
    • Organizes lab cases by monitoring completion dates
    • Ensures each assigned operatory is set-up and ready prior to seeing each patient
    • Provides patient education by giving pre and post operative instructions including oral hygiene instructions
    • May be responsible for the ordering supplies as needed

    Required Experience

  • Qualifications
    • Required Forklift Operator Certification
    • Basic computer knowledge and be familiar with SAP
    • Must be willing to work any shift assigned.
    • Work is generally performed within a manufacturing environment subjected to temperatures of cold and warm along with wearing the proper PPE, with standard office equipment available along with plant manufacturing environment.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands or finger, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, or controls; may be required to lift up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities include close vision to a computer screen.
