Job Description

• Load and unloads trucks (flatbeds and vans) with finished goods and raw materials using a forklift or a pallet jack.
• Determines proper material for loading from Pick List.
• Determines proper material for unloading from packing list, stores raw materials and finished goods in proper locations.
• Makes sure that shipments are properly loaded on trucks and that loads are tarped and strapped per company policy.
• Moves material within warehouse from location to location and from Production line to warehouse as required.
• Identifies raw materials via visual observation and use of labels.
• Keeps work area and equipment clean and orderly. Assures warehouse and yard are kept in orderly and clean condition.
• Identifies finished goods via substrate, thickness measurement and label.
• Performs daily checklist on forklift and makes sure logs are maintained.
• Locates material in warehouse daily inventory reports.
• Fills forklift propane tanks as required.
• Places tarps on top of loaded trucks with forklift.
• Processes load paperwork, signing out drivers, giving and retaining proper copies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• 2+ years prior shipping/receiving experience in a busy warehouse environment.
• Forklift trained and certified.
