Founded in 1889, Marlborough School is an independent girls college-preparatory school for grades 7 through 12 located in Los Angeles, California. Marlborough is the oldest independent girls’ school in the Southern California region. TEACHERS - RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with fellow teachers in teaching teams.
Maintain a safe classroom environment.
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons for the appropriate developmental level.
Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, student services, deans, and other administrators.
Utilize Marlborough’s learning management system to take attendance, provide curriculum materials, and maintain a digital gradebook.
Participate actively in grade-level and school activities.
TEACHERS - QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Possess, at minimum, a Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
Has at least three years of demonstrated success teaching.
Excellent organizational skills, including experience with a learning management system.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient computer skills with Google Drive and Microsoft Windows Office products.
Committed to personal growth and development in education.
Dedication to the development of young women, including experience and enthusiasm for positive identity development and diversity, equity, and inclusion work.
Enjoys collaborating with other teachers on curriculum development, lesson plans, and pedagogy.
Possess a high degree of interest in supporting the developmental needs of teenagers with the ability to combine high expectations with a high level of support.
COMPENSATION
$65,000 to $85,000 depending on education and experience for full-time positions. Salary prorated based on part-time status.
