Accurately and efficiency ring on register, maintaining all cash and media. Prepare, pack, label, and merchandise items according to Gristedes policy. Ensure that stock levels are maintained at all times, and that all products are fresh and properly displayed. Inspect quality of items in displays, cases, shelves, etc. by checking relevant information (e.g., expiration, born-on, pull, sell by, point of origin) and pull out-of-date, spoiled, or stale items. Responsible for providing products and services that meet the requirements of customers throughout store, including the usage of proper phone etiquette, answering customer questions, and communicating with management. Learn and perform the duties of similar positions in other departments as required. Assist in and maintain cleanliness of work area (for example, register, equipment, utensils) and floor. Learn and perform the tasks of the department manager in their absence (Full time Associates only)

Required Experience
Required Qualifications:
•Located in San Diego County with the ability to be onsite for team or process support/responsibilities (hybrid role).
•Bachelor’s degree in accounting
•8 years of experience in accounting and 5 years of experience in managing an accounting team
•3 years of experience in the following processes/cycles: accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations
•Knowledge of accounting principles and practices and experience implementing accounting policies, practices, and procedures
•Able to maintain a high level of accuracy and meet deadlines
•Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, manage projects, and organize efficiently
•Proven experience in leading a team and ability to convey and model core company values
•Dedicated to internal controls and safeguards
•Experience managing projects, including assignment of roles and management to timelines.
•Ability to lead or direct multiple complex projects and activities in an ambiguous environment
•High level of accountability and ability to independently establish proficiency in various systems and resolve issues via research, vendor, or consultant support.
•Excellent verbal/written communication skills
•Expert level proficiency in Excel
