    Locksmith

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    · Develop and keep records of keying systems

    · Retrieves and controls keys issued to authorized personnel

    · Communicates regarding lock and key changes and repairs

    · Repair and maintain locks including cylindrical, mortise, padlock, unit and rim locks, and reloads cylinders

    · Maintains inventory of key blanks, lock parts and prepares request for new purchases

    · Maintain computerized records of door hardware lock installations for each building and work orders

    · Makes emergency repairs and replacement of locks and open doors as required under emergency conditions during regular and off duty hours

    · Performs other duties as assigned

    SUPERVISION: Reports to the Director of Physical Facilities

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Graduate of a standard high school or equivalent.

    2. Basic knowledge of electricity and electronics

    3. Be able to pass a security/background check

    4. Physically able to perform duties of the locksmith trade

    5. Must have basic knowledge of spelling, punctuation and grammar

    6. Possession of a valid Oklahoma Drivers' license.

    PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS :

    1. Graduate of an approved trade school for locksmith

    2. Experience in computerized control system, developing biting list for keying systems requiring grand master, master and sub-master control

    SALARY:

    Starting salary for this position is $24,500.00
