    Job Description

    As the fastest growing, highest-performing charter school network in New York State, Success Academy is reimagining K-12 public education. We now need a results-driven Integration Engineer to join our Technology team.

    Department

    The Technology Division at Success Academy is the chief provider of technology infrastructure, application services, security, and support. The Division partners with teams across the organization to equip students, teachers, leaders, and staff with the innovative technology tools and know-how necessary to achieve academic and operational excellence.

    The Technology department’s purpose is to build a healthy data and technology culture. By focusing on the concrete educational outcomes we are trying to accomplish in our schools, the team develops technical and organizational systems that are user-friendly, scalable, and flexible. The team is responsible for all integration development and deployment to provide solutions to support different department functions.

    Objectives of this role

    • Work across the organization, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth
    • Develop new features and infrastructure in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements
    • Assume leadership of new projects, from conceptualization to deployment
    • Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, and maintain high standards for code quality and application design

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain robust end-to-end integration pipelines using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
    • System Integration: Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and IT teams to integrate various systems, applications, and data sources.
    • Automation: Implement automation solutions to streamline integration processes, reduce manual intervention, and enhance system efficiency.
    • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues in integration pipelines, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
    • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration processes, including technical specifications, workflows, and user guides. Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
    • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for optimizing integration processes, adopting new tools, and implementing best practices.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure integration solutions align with business objectives.

    Required Qualifications

    • Fluent in operating systems; Linux.
    • A natural collaborator and problem solver.
    • Comfortable with interfacing, scripting, and debugging.
    • Proficiency in API management, Linux, Python, Terraform, JAVA, and SQL.
    • Fluent in a variety of programs and software.
    • Participate in Agile stand-ups.
    • Hands-on experience with integration tools like Talend, DBT or any other ETL tool is preferred.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Git, and Docker.
    • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related services.
    • Proficient in using AWS CLI for multiple integrations at scale.
    • Adept in using SQL query language preferably Redshift or PostgreSQL
    • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, web services, and data formats (JSON, XML).

    Experience: 3+ years of experience as an Integration Engineer, with a focus on building and managing end-to-end pipelines.

    Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

    Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

    Compensation Range

    : $125,000.00 - $140,000.00
