EXPECTATIONS FOR THE CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANTS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- ROLE REQUIRES THE PERSON TO PROVIDE THEIR OWN TRANSPORTATION (MILEAGE REIMBURSABLE)
- Frontline point of care representative for the district testing program.
- Provide SARS-CoV2 testing and basic health services to students when they are at school.
- Conduct specimen collection for SARS-CoV2 testing using nasal swabs, rapid, or antigen tests as needed.
- Assist with screening symptomatic students for SARS-CoV2 in support of school health care staff.
- Under the supervision of the Registered nurse, assist with preventive care by educating students and staff on how to prevent the spread of communicable diseases and viruses.
- Train and supervise people on the collection of specimens using nasal swabs and saliva tubes as necessary.
- Train people on the proper use and wear of PPE.
- Provide basic healthcare to students in case of injury or illness;
- Report test-kit and PPE consumption rates, transportation of specimens to testing sites.
- Role requires strong organizational and communication skills.
- Able to assist with data entry of students’ vaccination records
