You’ll be a crucial member of a thoughtfully-formed team and others will rely on you to bring your best self to camp every day. You’ll be tinkering and creating, all the while making an indelible mark on hundreds of campers. Camp days are long but so worth the rewards. In fact, it’s not unusual for Galileo staffers to realize their own dreams while helping a camper redesign the wheels of a go-kart or performing an end-of-camp skit.
As a Lead Instructor, you'll be responsible for creating an environment of openness, inclusion, learning and most importantly....fun!
A day in the of a Lead Instructor can vary but your most important job will be to work in the classroom by making sure materials are all set, your team leaders know how to best support you and your campers! Most importantly you'll always be there to bring the fun and excitement!

Founded in 2002, Galileo has grown to over 100 awe-inspiring summer camp programs throughout the Bay Area, SoCal, and Chicagoland, for which we hire close to 3,000 summer staff each year. Our summer staff teams are a diverse community of leaders—the best and brightest current and aspiring educators, college students, artists, engineers, and scientists who can't wait to dazzle and inspire thousands of Galileo campers for 2-8 weeks each summer.
