Boston University’s Kilachand Honors College is hiring a Temporary Full-Time Salaried Lecturer for AY 25-26. We seek candidates with significant experience in teaching writing to undergraduate students and a demonstrable commitment to inclusive and innovative pedagogy. One component of this position will involve teaching sections of Kilachand Honors College’s Studio I and II, which are writing-intensive first-year 2-credit undergraduate courses. In the first semester, students practice reading carefully, crafting arguments, and revising writing while exploring challenging texts and co-curricular events. In the second semester, students write and revise a research paper on a topic of their choosing. The Lecturer may teach other courses at Kilachand, such as first-year seminars and the Keystone Proposal Development Workshop. Kilachand Honors College is a community whose members share a commitment to addressing key challenges in our world and applying academic and creative endeavors toward positively affecting society, and thus we are seeking a faculty member who shares this orientation. Finally, we seek candidates who are invested in engaging in our living-learning community, as demonstrated by participation in student-centered events (e.g., college programming). We strongly encourage candidates from historically marginalized groups to apply.
