  • Responsibilities

    The Marketing and Communications Manager (MCM) of BU Student Health Services is responsible for developing, implementing, and assessing a comprehensive and coordinated marketing and communications strategy for the organization. The Manager supervises two full time staff, who together as a team, execute all print and digital marketing products for the organization. The Manager also serves as the communications liaison between Student Health Services and University stakeholders, including campus media. Through the monitoring of analytics and metrics, the Manager evaluates efforts and strategically identifies new opportunities for messaging and collaboration across the University.

    Required Skills

    • Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred
    • 3- 5 years of work experience, preferably with some in a higher education setting
    • Experience with a variety of print and digital marketing and communication channels, familiarity with graphic design tools and social media management platforms
    • Experience communicating public health messages to a college student audience on topics such as substance use, sexual health, mental health, and interpersonal violence prevention
    • Excellent skills in oral and written communications, organization and time-management in order to successfully manage multiple programs, projects, and deadlines
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within teams and across functions
    • Demonstrated ability to lead a team by setting priorities, supporting goals, and working effectively with others with a range of backgrounds and identities Demonstrated familiarity with health communication best practices
