    Job Description

    The Opportunity :

    Flywire is seeking a Manager, SEC Reporting, to oversee and manage the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual SEC reports ensuring compliance with all SEC rules and regulation and US GAAP accounting standards. This role will report to our VP of Technical Accounting and External Reporting.

    The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of SEC reporting requirements, GAAP, and financial statement preparation. This role requires a strong ability to work cross-functionally, manage tight deadlines, and communicate effectively with senior leadership and external auditors.

    What You'll Do:

    SEC Filings : Coordinate the preparation and timely filing of quarterly and annual SEC reports (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, etc.), ensuring compliance with SEC rules and regulations.

    Financial Reporting : Review and analyze financial statements to ensure all required disclosures are made in accordance with US GAAP and SEC disclosure requirements.

    Cross Department Collaboration : Collaborate with the accounting, FP&A, marketing, legal, tax, and investor relations teams to coordinate and review financial information and ensure accurate reporting. Ensure alignment of 10-Q and 10-K with quarterly earnings releases and investor communications.

    Audit Management : Coordinate the review of filings with internal and external auditors, including providing necessary documentation and addressing any audit matters.

    Internal Controls & Compliance: Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls over financial reporting and SEC filings.

    Research & Analysis: Keep current on new SEC regulations, accounting standards, and other relevant guidance. Research complex accounting issues, evaluate the impact of new regulations, and advise senior leadership on the potential impact on filings.

    Accounting Policies: Review existing accounting policies for compliance with US GAAP and completeness.

    Process Improvement : Continuously assess and enhance reporting processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Implement tools and technologies to streamline SEC filing and reporting procedures.

    Special Projects : Lead and assist in ad-hoc projects related to SEC reporting, financial reporting, technical accounting and internal controls as needed.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Here’s what we are looking for:

    • 5+ years of experience in SEC reporting, financial reporting, or public accounting, with a strong background in preparing SEC filings.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Experience working in a public company environment preferred.
    • CPA certification preferred
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, resourceful, & self-motivated with a desire for continuous improvement
    • Strong interpersonal, project management, oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to work with various business partners and influence decision making

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $89,000-$127,000 plus restricted stock units and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, position level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and several other factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education and training.
