The position as an Embalmer requires License from State of Tennessee or eligibility to embalm. The position requires the person to work in the Gross Anatomy Laboratory I pre parathion of cadavers for cremation/burial and attendance record. The position requires the person to handle all correspondences related to the Anatomical Body Do nation program in maintaining a proper log of potential/actual donors. The positions require the person to work in the Department of Professional and Medical Education Office to provide support for faculty in the anatomical laboratories.
- Preparation of bodies for cremation/burial;. Readiness of cadavers for dissection; Support for anatomical dissection labs; maintenance of a safe environment in the dissection laboratory; monitoring the dissection lab, preparation and storage spaced in terms of needs; maintenance of proper log of potential donors/actual donors; embalming of bodies.
- Conform to laws of health and sanitation, and ensure that legal requirements concerning embalming are met
- Provide support for Faculty in the Anatomical Labor
- Provide support Mailing and retrieving death notices
- Rendering service to the department as needed
- Performs other related duties as needed
Required Skills
- Experience working in an office environment and utilizing computers in the conduct of work with knowledge and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Required Experience
Embalmer's license in the State of Tennessee. Embalming certification from an Accredited Embalmer's School or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred with (1-3) years of experience is acceptable in the biological sciences, social sciences or a related work in the areas in an educational, medical or health-related environment is preferred.
