  • Responsibilities

    The WBUR Morning Edition team is looking for a Producer to join our team to help bring stories and interviews from the field to our air and our digital platforms. This journalist will work alongside the Executive Producer, Executive Editor, and Morning Edition host to produce in-depth stories highlighting various communities, newsmakers, and subjects. This person will pitch and conceptualize stories, write and produce segments, conduct and assist with field reporting, and coordinate interviews. This person will also produce segments and interviews as assigned for both broadcast and digital platforms. We are looking for someone with the experience and knowledge who can bring great and fresh ideas to the table and also be given ideas to flesh out and run with. Communication skills are key as this person will work dayside hours to complement the team working before sunrise.

    The position is Boston-based with the opportunity for both in-office and remote work. This position is covered under the terms of a collective bargaining agreement with SAG-AFTRA (https://www.bu.edu/hr/files/2022/01/SAG-AFTRA-rates-7.1.2022.pdf). The minimum annualized salary for this position is $78,413.00.

    Work Hours for this position are 4:00 am - 12:00 pm.

    Required Skills

    • Bachelor's degree in Journalism and/or Communications required.
    • 1 - 3 years of production-related experience required.
    • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
